New MaxxTerra. More grip. More laps. No compromise.

Maxxis has completely reformulated the MaxxTerra compound from the ground up — and the numbers back it up: 30% more durable, 15% more traction, zero loss in rolling efficiency. This isn't a minor update. It's a new benchmark for trail and enduro rubber.

New MaxxTerra sits in the sweet spot of the Maxxis compound range — softer and grippier than MaxxSpeed for real-world trail conditions, tougher and faster-rolling than MaxxGrip for rides that last longer than a single DH run. The result is a tyre that hooks up harder in the braking zones, corners with more confidence, and still rolls home without feeling dead underfoot.

  • 30% increase in durability and longevity — more laps before the tyre is done
  • 15% increase in traction — harder braking, more confident cornering
  • No loss in rolling efficiency — grip without drag
  • EXO casing — cut-resistant reinforced sidewall, ideal for trail riding on technical terrain
  • Tubeless Ready (TR) — set it up tubeless for lower pressures and better compliance
  • Foldable bead — lighter, easier to mount, travel-friendly
  • New recyclable packaging — 75% post-consumer recycled cardboard, recyclable plastic strapping

New MaxxTerra is available across the full Maxxis enduro and trail tyre range. Casing options — EXO, EXO+, DD and DH — are detailed in the product title. Choose based on your terrain aggression and bike weight.

Tread pattern note: The Minion DHR II is the rear-specific companion to the DHF. Ramped paddle-shaped centre knobs bite hard under braking and roll efficiently in between. Side knobs borrowed from the DHF — then widened — provide the lateral support you need when the rear end steps out. Pair with a Minion DHF or Assegai up front for the classic aggressive enduro setup.
